Resilience of My Citrus Trees

Vy showed me something that made my day. Our lime and lemon trees, which haven’t borne any fruit for quite a while, have started to show signs of life again. Tiny green citrus are starting to peek through the leaves.

For a long time, I was worried about them. They looked a bit tired, and I wondered if they had given up. But seeing those small fruits today reminded me of how resilient nature is. They didn’t stop being trees just because they weren’t producing anything visible; they were just biding their time, gathering strength.

It makes me happy to know that these trees are still strong. They are trying their best to survive and thrive, even when it’s not obvious from the outside. Sometimes we all need a season of rest before we can bear fruit again. It’s a gentle reminder that as long as we keep trying, we are still growing. What it takes is a sprinkle of patience and a dash of faith.

Anecdotally, limes in supermarkets are expensive! I’m thankful we will be able to harvest our home-grown fruits in the near future.
